Assessment of Mechanical Properties of Glass Fiber Polymer Composites
Abstract
In this research
work, an E-glass fiber with random oriented reinforced unsaturated polyester
resin composite was developed by hand lay-up technique with four different
fiber loadings (10, 20, 30 and 40 wt. %). The tensile strength, flexural
strength and impact strength of the composites were determined as per ASTM
standards. The results clearly indicated an improvement in tensile strength,
flexural strength and impact strength of the composites with the increase in
fibre loadings.
